This is my first ever time interviewing on Point of View. In this interview, I talked to Pittsburgh KDKA Meteorologist Mary Ours. We talked about how she got into her position, how others can get involved, and why she chose this path. We also had some fun as I did a deep-dive on her past and found one of her first reporter reels.
This week was a fun, regular episode! We had a ton of reporters, which was great, and all of our positions were filled! For my stories, I decided to talk about all things Tate McRae, including her new tour and album. I also talked about Sabrina Carpenter bringing out Domingo from SNL to be arrested during her concert in LA.
This was our normally scheduled program. We had multiple reporters, and it was fun! I talked about the current Elon Musk x SNL cast feud and about the big error Mattel made when creating their “Wicked” movie dolls.
This was our special Halloween-themed episode. Everyone dressed up and gave their favorite spooky reports. My stories this week focused on both Cynthia Erivo’s and Ariana Grande’s response to the fan-made “Wicked” poster.
This was a special episode of News Night as me and my co-anchor from the election show just hours earlier continued coverage as the election results did not come in by the end of our official election show.
This was a package that I create when I attended the rally for Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign. The rally took place on Monday, November 4th, the day before the election, in one of the biggest swing states, Pennsylvania. I was fortunately able to obtain an official press pass and create this package just one day before the election show for U-View. It was hard but something I would never change and am forever grateful to have this opportunity.
This was the official election show run by U-View Television. This live production ran for five hours consecutively and allowed me to be the anchor for two of these hours. For this show, I wrote four stories, but researched past election coverage, campaigns, strategies, and so much more to prepare for such an important show.
This was a package I created for the Pittsburgh Playhouse’s first-ever “Fall Festival.” The event shut down Forbes Avenue, right in front of the Playhouse, to host games, drinks, food, and a lot of fun! I interviewed Point Park University students to see what they were enjoying and also promoted the show, “Boo’s Halloween House Party,” written, directed, and choreographed by Point Park University alumni, Ahmad Simmons.
This week, I reported on Taylor Swift releasing a new book, vinyl, and album for her partnership with Target. I also reported on an interview from “Interview” with Kim Kardashian and North West, focusing on North’s responses to Kim’s cooking.
This was a package I created to showcase Point Park University’s Family Weekend and the ongoing contract negotiations that teachers have been fighting. During the weekend, faculty and staff stood outside of Village Park and the Student Center to advocate for their cause. I interviewed faculty members and the President of the university to get their insight.
This was a package I created promoting the ongoing annual Downtown Oktoberfest in Market Square and on the Roberto Clemente Bridge. I interviewed locals attending the event and got a first-hand look on what was being offered.
This was not my first time on the show, but my first time hosting it. For my story, I talked about how JD Vance was refused service at a local Primanti Bros. in Pittsburgh. I further adlibbed and conversed with the other hosts and their stories.
This week, I reported on Sean “Diddy” Comb’s new allegations of involvement in the death of rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996. I also talked about how Taylor Swift is now the #1 richest artist in the world, with a net worth estimated to be 1.6 billion dollars.
During this week’s show, I reported on Dolly Parton donating 1 million dollars to the recovery efforts caused by Hurricane Helene. I also created a package about Oktoberfest and its upcoming events in Pittsburgh.
